I’ve been in pain management for 10 years now and on opioid treatment, for 10 years as well. I have Degenerative Disc Disease and have several herniated disc’s throughout my entire spine. I’ve had to work through some intense pain while starting a new career in the hopes of getting away from my abusive ex-husband and it’s not been easy, especially with daily pain. I value your story so much and learn so much from every podcast I listen to. Thank you for being so open! Us survivors are so ap... more

Hello Sammi and Robby🌞💟 I’ve followed your story for some time now. I enjoy the cast. I tried other ways to contact you, but there are none that I could find. I am compelled to contact you regarding your latest cast and your discussion around the tv show Dopesick. Please do not fall for that anti-pain management hit piece. It is pure hypersensationalized, hyperbolic, cherry-picked, half truths. Beth Macy is trying to blame all that is wrong in the world, especially Appalachia, on OxyContin and... more

  • Great podcast

I have lived with chronic pain since I almost died in a motorcycle accident over 20 yrs ago. These 2 are some of the very few who actually get it.. tell it like it is.. even though others may try to understand- I believe chronic pain (and loving someone who lives with it) is easily misunderstood and looked at as unimportant. Nothing could be further from the truth. We need MORE info and less physicians who would be best described as drug dealers.. most Rx just add more symptoms to an already c... more
