  • This show is unedited

It’s ironic a show by content gate-keepers demanding broadcast ready material don’t properly produce a podcast. Far too often I’m wondering why we’re hearing connection problems or horrible music playback. Mostly it’s host navel gazing.

  • Going Under? Taxi cancels subscriptions

Taxi is refunding Subscription money... Is it going out of Business? Is Taxi going under? Seems they have horrible customer service.... spend way too much on these Michael talks where he is the center of it all and don't have any good web programming... Broadjam is eating their lunch... Seems time to ask for your money back...

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How to Make Instrumental Cues More Licensable for TV & Film_.[060826]mp4
Q: How long should a cue be, and how flexible should you be with timing?
Two minutes is a solid default; if a library asks for 90 seconds, aim for that, but don't hesitate to extend slightly if it serves the cue's musical logic, while ensuring it remains usable for editors.
Commercials vs Film & TV_ The REAL Secret to Higher-Paying Sync Placements![060126]
Q: What role does the pre-chorus play in syncing music to commercials?
The pre-chorus often serves as a build that leads into the hook, creating a sense of anticipation and making it easier for editors to drop the track into various cuts while maintaining impact and brand alignment.
Inside a Pro Track_ Developmental Arcs & Edit Points (Live Breakdown)![050426]
Q: Can you explain the difference between a button ending and a stinger?
A button ending is a short, definitive end like a period; a stinger is a longer, more emphatic end like an exclamation and usually lasts longer.
Inside a Pro Track_ Developmental Arcs & Edit Points (Live Breakdown)![050426]
Q: What makes a cue more usable for editors in production music?
Include clear edit points, multiple energy levels, and a flexible structure with distinct sections and endings so editors can cut to fit different scenes.
What Nashville Is REALLY Looking For in Country Songs (Right Now)_[041326]
Q: Is it better to send multiple songs or one at a time to a publisher or producer?
Send targeted material that represents you well; flooding with too many items can backfire, so focus on quality and the strongest fit with the contact's listening style.
