If you can suffer through the presenter's stereotypical american broadcaster manner of speaking - the content and format is good!
So many true crime podcasts tend to lose sight of the person who was lost. I cannot express how much I enjoyed getting to know Alex in that last episode. Beautifully done.
Hey Kimmy, it clearly hasn’t occurred to you, but it is possible to leave a review without summarizing the entire story, spoilers and all.
No “hook”. Doesn’t draw you in, or pique your curiosity. I gave up before finishing the second episode. Overly dramatic, cheesy tone with a “Dateline” vibe. It failed to set up the story in a way that reeled me in. If you knew Alex personally, you might be interested to listen. I recommend “The Murder Police Podcast” - it has 4 episodes that focus on the case - really good examination of the search for the murderer.
I really like the podcast. It is very well done. My heart breaks for Alex and his family. The only issue is the background music and sound effects. They are far too loud they drown out the speakers' voices. It is like trying to have a conversation in a club! And some audio (like the 911 call in episode 3) could be cleaned. Fire your sound engineer!
