I’m a Malaysian (Ipoh mali!) living in Canada. Listening to this podcast brings me joy and feelings of nostalgia. I’m also discovering and learning about food from my home country in a whole new way, thanks to Jun’s thoughtful storytelling approach, which is always backed by engaging interviews and good research. An excellent mash up of food, culture and history that leaves you wanting more.
I just want to get back to m’sia and keep the traditions on my old grandmas koptiam and explore more of the culinary culture!

I highly recommend this podcast. Jun has such a great podcaster voice! The topics he covers are topics that really highlights Asian food. The podcast is entertaining, insightful, and gives the listener a good glimpse into Asian food. I love this podcast as it highlights Malaysian culture and food, something that isn’t well-known globally. Give a listen and I’m sure you’ll keep listening from an episode to the next!
