In this episode, we take on one of the most controversial and perplexing questions when it comes to “justice”: should the church be mixed up in politics? Jesus’ answer might surprise you.
In this episode, we explore how the power of “praise” can both divide and connect, and discover Jesus' vision for how the Christian church should relate to people of other religions (and no religion at all).
In this episode, we explore what Jesus really meant by “faith” - and how for him, the church is actually a community of “little faith” (or no faith at all).
What is the church? What is it for? In this opening episode of a five-part miniseries, we first clarify what the church is not - and then turn to Jesus' provocative parable of the rich man and Lazarus.

I love this podcast. Matthew Myer Bolton is always giving new and insightful ideas that enhance my preaching. Thank you for your work!
The content is terrific theologically and creatively. But the music that plays underneath the spoken word through much of the podcast is terribly distracting to me. I cannot focus on the words. My musical mind wants to listen to that. Please consider re-balancing — music only at intro and conclusion, and word alone (ha ha, I’m a Lutheran preacher) for the meat of the podcast.
I am in Australia and have found the Easter series so spiritually enriching that I immediately sent it to the UK and the US. This has helped me see Easter and the resurrection in a fresh light. What a blessing-thank you
Thoughtful and new ways of seeing old stories. Always make me think and grow spiritually
Deep knowledgable history, teaching, and insight to show a loving inclusive God.
Amen
