I started listening to this show around the time of the Black Lives Matter movement. I wanted another point of view. I’m just here to listen and think about the conversation. I really like the subjects, hosts and guests. I look forward to new episodes. Totally recommend it!
No matter what the topic is the discussion is stellar. This is a great show! The world would be better if everyone listened.
Your reporters have never heard of conservative Latinos? Mind boggling or purposefully deceitful. Instead of projecting their racist views, they should have been upfront on the normalcy—can’t believe I have to say this—if the Hispanic conservatives. It’s as if Northern Mexico, El Salvador, Chile, Argentina, etc don’t exist.
This is one of my favorite Podcasts. The topics covered are thought provoking and bridges racial & generational lines. My only “complaint” is for Gene to slow down his speech. I am from the Northeast myself and as a NYer I admit that we tend to speak very fast however when you’re in podcasting a slower pace would be helpful for the listeners.
I almost feel the episodes have gotten better in the wake of the 2024 backlash to social progressivism - deeper, more nuanced, dealing more with real policy issues than the relative fluff of DEI and “implicit bias”. You remind us that racial discrimination is real and tangible and structural. As a woman this is exactly the discourse we need more of. And thank you for telling it like it is throughout 2025, when so many media outlets tended towards “both-siding” everything.
