  • What a huge cover up!

I learned a lot about what happened in the disaster. It’s scary how the higher ups can cover up such a horrific event. I do wish you had had the time to have a meal with those last two families. You would have learned so much more and emigrated yourselves and other Americans in their eyes. Like they weren’t another item to check off your list. All and all a great show.

  • In depth historical review

I’m a practicing ob/gyn and still had never heard the whole background behind the start of using misoprostol for reproductive health purposes. This should be mandatory learning for any OB care provider. Misoprostol now has many life-saving uses in ObGyn including decreasing bleeding from uterine hemorrhage at the time of vaginal or cesarean delivery, uterine fibroid surgery, and miscarriage. These uses probably would never have been considered without these women first trying it on themselves an... more

  • What works?

You need to take a deep dive into how deprogramming works. There are many cult specialists that can guide you! This cognitive dissonance is exactly the same thing. Great work on this story!

  • Total ideological bias

Podcast is such ideological propaganda its hard to make it through the sea of bias that is its “reporting” - witness the most recent cheerleading for the heroic “feminists” who bravely fought for the right to terminate their pregnancies. No reporting from the pro-life/anti-abortion perspective. Its great evidence that NPR shouldn’t be financed by my tax dollars

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Harvard Plan: The Endless Frontier
Q: For the many, many people on campuses who are scared by the policies that you did a lot to create and guide, I'm going to speak pretty directly, why should they not be scared?
Mailman argues that the conditions imposed on universities by the Trump administration are reminders of universities' obligations and not a threat to academic freedom.
The Network: Déjà vu
Q: How has the network in the US expanded in response to new restrictions?
The network has rapidly expanded by connecting women in need of abortions with resources for self-managed abortion and through the collaboration with activists from other countries, particularly Mexico.
Alternate Realities: Down the Rabbit Hole
Q: Do you feel like you need to get a lot done before that happens?
Not at all, just want to finish my book.
Alternate Realities: Down the Rabbit Hole
Q: How do you feel about all these conversations we've had?
It's been well worth it and nice to talk together.
Alternate Realities: A Strange Bet
Q: What happens if you're wrong?
That's a good question, and I haven't entertained that idea because I feel 100% confident this is going to happen.
