As a woman who used to have a lot of people pleasing and perfectionist behaviors, I find the stories and tips that Kristin and her guests share to be very valuable and relatable. This is a great show for women who want to be well and live their best life!
I have always attached my ‘value ’ to whether people like me/what I’ve done. So, I’ve been a chronic people pleaser my whole life. Your podcasts have helped me reflect, acknowledge, recognise it. I feel a sense of self-empowerment after listening to each one. I’m still early on the journey on accepting that others don’t always come first, that I have value in my own thoughts, beliefs, actions (obviously not harmful ones. Thank you! So grateful to have found your podcast series.
As a recovering people pleaser I can very much relate to several of these topics and stories. This work is SO important. I love Kristen’s analogy of a gate around your yard when thinking about creating boundaries. I’ll be listening more often!
The disclaimer about the audio was an understatement I really wanted to enjoy this but the audio is terrible.
