  • Legends media

Just want to say I love the show! Found it a while back and it’s a great tool for legends content. Started reading the legends media back in August of 2022. I’m almost done with Jax Pavans story and I’m loving it! Curious to see who’s your favorite EU Jedi or Character (Non Skywalker or main characters)? I really like Jax and the crew, and Zane Carrick from the KOTOR comics! Thanks and Keep on Trucking!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 144 - Tales from the New Republic
Q: Joshua asks for your opinion on Luke Skywalker's portrayal in the sequel trilogy and whether his arc was handled as fans hoped.
My thoughts on Luke's portrayal are mixed; I acknowledge the complexities of his arc, from seclusion on Octo to the later appearances, and I compare it to Lucas's outlines while noting how different storytelling choices can shape a beloved character's legacy.
Ep 144 - Tales from the New Republic
Q: Hello, Aaron, I have a question about what you think about General Grievous and if he should get his own novel.
I would read a General Grievous book to get more of his backstory and to delve into what drives the character, though I also reflect on how his portrayal has evolved across media and what a solo novel could meaningfully add to that portrayal.
Ep 143 - Showdown at Centerpoint with Dan
Q: What did you think about the negotiations with the Ceylonians and the dynamic around who actually controlled the repulsor?
Dan pointed out the debate could have been resolved quickly if the key question of control had been asked earlier, and discussed Mara Jade as a decisive negotiator who pushes the story toward resolution.
Ep 143 - Showdown at Centerpoint with Dan
Q: Okay, Dan, first question, as always, what were your overall thoughts about the book?
Dan felt it was a satisfying ending to the trilogy, with many of the previous questions answered and strong moments involving the solo kids, Mara Jade, and the political negotiations, though he noted some character development was lighter than in earlier books.
Ep 142 - Assault at Selonia with Dan
Q: What if Luke met his mother's parents on Naboo? Would that make him a prince?
Dan notes Padme's position as elected queen and explains Naboo's governance, suggesting that even if Luke met his maternal grandparents, the title of prince would not automatically apply since Naboo's monarchy is not structured that way, and the context remains speculative within canon.
