The show was recommended by Aaron from LegendsLounge (another fantastic EU podcast). I really like their approach of going through the timeline in order and discussing every book/story 100%! Thomas and Krystle are very sympathetic and funny. You can tell that they‘re very experienced readers. Ofc you‘ve got to have enought time, as episodes can be hours long (love it :))
Minor issue: Audio Quality could be better, so non-native speakers can understand it better acoustically!
So far a really interesting show with some great commentary. Really been enjoying it! Both the contributors have put some great thoughts into it. Agree with some takes, disagree with others. But that’s the fun of it!
I also later felt betrayed by the courtship of Princess Leia, I also grew up reading legends younger then I probably should have. It was such a formative part of my childhood in really similar ways to the creators of this podcast so it’s so interesting to hear how it shaped them, ju... more
Honestly love this show. Both Krystal and Thomas bring unique and interesting perspectives on the books they read. Even when they aren’t a fan of a certain book or comic I still walk away from those episodes feeling like they gave it a fair shot. Also appreciate the lack of spoilers. There have been some Legends podcasts that will just blurt out everyone’s fates in the first ten minutes of an episode. That is not the case here and I appreciate that.
T and K you’re great, I enjoy your insights into the legit and the absurd alike. I appreciate K’s heroic commitment to treating all stories as worthy of full analysis until proven otherwise, and sometimes even after that. I appreciate T’s relentless positivity in the face of some truly ghastly works of literature, continually proving your abiding love of this universe.
Most of all, I love that you love doing this with each other, and I’ll keep listening as long as you keep talking. I call him Pa... more
A really cool StarWars EU Podcast in which the 2 hosts reread all the old EU Books.
I discovered the podcast while writing my Bachelor-Thesis and it was what I needed at the time.
Am happy all 2 weeks, when a new episodes is released. Thanks to Thomas and Kristol for making these. I also started rereading my old SW-books myself.
