  • Not for trained or practicing songwriters.

This is an abysmal podcast. I understand they appeal to a certain demographic, they spill the rudiments on how to write music appealing to a religious audience (fortunately they reveal these things in their early podcasts and I gave a star as I've been able to exploit these idiosyncrasies and have sold a few jesus songs to a local performer. $800 dollars for 4 hours work not bad.) but if you're looking for a podcast that covers theory, musicianship and the industry. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

GINNY OWENS: Different Kind Of Water
Q: So how have you navigated New York? And do you feel like you're a New Yorker? Have you lost your ability to correctly pronounce y'all?
Ginny describes embracing New York while staying grounded in faith, continuing to lead worship and write music, and blending Southern roots with urban ministry as she builds community and new projects.
DANIEL DOSS: Revival and Songwriting
Q: How did you come to faith and how would you describe your current vibe with Jesus?
Daniel describes revival as a returning to the Lord through conviction of sin, personal growth, and a deepened relationship with God that informs his music and songwriting.
AMANDA JANSON: Sinner To Saint
Q: Oh gosh, can you tell us the words to the chorus of Where the Warfare Ends?
The chorus centers on ending warfare and breaking ties with regret, proclaiming that the enemy is defeated and peace is the inheritance.
AMANDA JANSON: Sinner To Saint
Q: Talk about that song and how that came to be.
She describes the process behind Where the Warfare Ends, a turning point moment during a deep, vulnerable writing rite, and how the lyrics came from a confirmed word from God shared with trusted friends.
AMANDA JANSON: Sinner To Saint
Q: Congratulations. You're already nominated for a Grammy. How has the transition to being a writer and artist been for you?
Amanda explains she moved from a small-town worship leading mindset to a broader co-writing and artist development path, emphasizing learning to respect the room and build genuine creative relationships rather than just chasing networking gains.
