This is a soundtrack discovery show hosted by composers...I mean, come on, it writes itself! Will and Wendell are beyond knowledgeable on the subject matter. The crown jewel of this podcast is their Score Guides, where they walk you through a film's score track by track and dissect it, both in terms of music theory and what it accomplishes in the moment. It's fantastic!
The score guides are just a joy with great presenters. Track by track the scores are reviewed with genuine enthusiasm suitable for non-musical listeners (like myself) and those with a musical education. I highly recommend.
Fantastic podcast. I love the Main Street monologue especially the Blu-ray and Halloween movie and music episodes.
I don’t listen to podcasts, but ever since my daughter introduced me to this, I have been listening since. There is a certain something about this team and what they put out there reflects on how well they work together, their creativity, and their talents. Well done! You guys are simply amazing!
I’m seeing a lot of “listen if you love” which is a given, however, what sets these guys apart from any other podcast is not just their knowledge and passion for music and film, but their chemistry. Some podcasts are knowledgeable but, painful to listen to. These guys all bring something different to the table and it keeps you engaged. That’s what sets Sideshow Sound Theater apart.
