    The show is well-produced, but it dilutes the nefarious and demonic aspects of secret societies while consistently taking subtle (and not-so-subtle) jabs at Christianity and the early Church. It frequently portrays early Christianity before Constantine as chaotic and unstructured, implying that only when Constantine intervened did a select few arbitrarily decide the faith according to their own preferences.
