  • Getting Rid of Scotland’s Nuclear Weapons

Really enjoyed the main interview in this episode with three Scottish CND activists. It marks the first anniversary of the UN Nuclear Weapons Prohibition Treaty. And wow, what an example of two campaigns reinforcing each other: an independent Scotland would certainly become signature to TPNW and the TPNW would certainly provide support to Scotland’s negotiations to get rid of Trident. And who knows what that would mean for the UK’s nuclear arsenal.

  • I realise these reviews are primarily for the podcast as a whole and I will admit some parts of it I don't bother with. (not a fan of poetry for instance). But I utterly utterly love Stuart McHardy's Radical look at Scottish History. I would live this to be a more detailed and stand alone podcast. Highly recommended and a must listen for anyone with an interest in Scotlands past.

Q: What do we get from having a significant representation in Westminster?
Stuart reflects that such representation does little for independence supporters when the ruling party holds a majority.
Geomythography with Stuart McHardy
Q: Did grandpas pass it down or was it mainly the women folk that were telling the stories to the younger generations?
Most of this comes down to the staff side. Women seem to be the ones involved more directly in the upbringing of children and part of the storytelling process.

Q: Are there plans moving forward for the upcoming election?
Graeme mentions attending conferences and keeping discussions active among independence supporters.
9 Steps to Independence
Q: What is the current membership of the SNP?

9 Steps to Independence
Q: What are the implications now that the plan was rejected?
