Hello again from North Carolina! Our microphones are still on a boat being shipped back to us from Japan (sorry for the lower audio quality), but we wanted to share an update about what we’ve been up to since moving, our changing plans, and what thin... more
It's the final week of our road trip around Japan! We got to ride the 36+3 scenic train in Kyushu, and started our drive back through Honshu on the Sea of Japan coast. We visited a cat temple in Yamaguchi, saw the Tottori Sand Dunes, one of Japan's 3... more

It’s great to hear about topics such as the JET Program, weekend adventures, and the mundane daily events of living in Japan. I also appreciate the interspersed dry humor!
I started listening to the podcast after returning from a trip to Japan, and I’ve enjoyed getting to learn about the moving process. I usually put on this podcast as I’m working, and it’s a really nice way to learn more about the experience of moving abroad, and also listen to fun stories about the activities and places within Japan to visit.
Thanks guys for sharing your stories of life in Japan. Japan is definitely on my bucket list of places to visit, and hope that I make it there one day. Until then, I’ll just live my bed vicarious life in Japan by listening to you guys. PS: I love the stories of exploration and bike riding, but will not be fully satisfied until you post a story about staying in one of those crazy micro-hotels or sleep pods
