  • Good prehospital strange diversions occasionally

Enjoy the prehospital content and speakers. It’s probably one of the best out there for this.

The number of ‘….. could you speak to….’ Can start to jar but you do hear each guests views in the episodes.

I found some guests totally left field. The guest promoting alternative therapy as oppose to evidence based practice practice for cancer. Strange on what I assume is a mainly medical audience.

    Love it in the main.

Reframing Resuscitation: From Termination to Withdrawal of Life Support with Darren Braude
Q: What practical steps can EMS systems take to start adopting family-centered withdrawal of life support?
Begin with strengthening death notification protocols, introduce frameworks like the walls mnemonic, implement training and role-play for death notifications, and plan interagency collaborations with law enforcement and medical investigators to handle each case sensitively on a case-by-case basis.
Reframing Resuscitation: From Termination to Withdrawal of Life Support with Darren Braude
Q: Why is it important to frame end-of-resuscitation as withdrawal of life support rather than termination?
Framing it as withdrawal aligns with ICU and hospice practices, centers the family in the process, reduces trauma for both families and providers, and creates space to manage expectations and emotional responses.
Novel Psychoactives and The New Drug Landscape: A Conversation with Dr Caroline Copeland
Q: Can you explain the challenges associated with novel psychoactive substances?
The potency makes it hard to judge safe doses and knowing exactly what users have taken complicates treatment.
Novel Psychoactives and The New Drug Landscape: A Conversation with Dr Caroline Copeland
Q: What are some of the trends you've seen with novel psychoactive substances and synthetic use?
There's a shift towards synthetics as drug gangs move away from plant-based drugs to more potent and easily trafficked synthetics.
Sepsis Unmasked: ‘What Pre-Hospital Teams Should Know’ With Dr Ron Daniels
Q: Could I get you to just really speak to the future and what the immediate or midterm future looks like?
