  • Fun show and mental diversion...😀

Plum makes this show what it is, funny, irreverent and a bit whacky at times. As a foodie it exposes me to whole new side of restaurants... Wish he was back as host of Seasoned, that show is down the tubes without him...

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Plumluvfoods on WICC ep 58 Tomatoes!
Q: What's your ultimate tomato sandwich?
Kyle and the hosts describe a simple, classic tomato sandwich with thick tomato slices, mayo, salt, pepper, and either white or toasted bread; some guests also experiment with variations like caprese elements or rye bread, but most agree the core elements should be minimal.
Plumluvfoods on WICC ep 66 Tacos with Forest Pastornack of Taco Dia
Q: Is there a universal 'correct' way to build a taco?
No—the episode reinforces that there is no single correct method; the taco is defined by its tortilla quality, fillings, and sauces, allowing for broad creative expression.
Plumluvfoods on WICC ep 66 Tacos with Forest Pastornack of Taco Dia
Q: How does fresh masa compare to dried masa in flavor and digestibility?
Fresh masa offers a richer, deeper corn flavor with a slight fermentation-like umami, and is easier to digest due to its processing; dried masa tends to have less depth in flavor.
Plumluvfoods on WICC ep 66 Tacos with Forest Pastornack of Taco Dia
Q: What makes Taco Dia gluten-free, and why did Forest choose straight masa for the tortillas?
Forest explains that they use straight masa and fresh masa preparation to keep the tortillas inherently gluten-free and to achieve a richer, deeper corn flavor with better texture, which is integral to the restaurant's concept.
Plumluvfoods on WICC ep 65 fall cocktails and drinks plus Gorden Whelpley from Floathouse
Q: What makes Floathouse different from typical non-alcoholic beers?
Floathouse is malt-based with a small, regulated dose of THC, designed to deliver a beer-like experience without getting you drunk, and it remains compliant with state-by-state rules while aiming for broad distribution.
