I came across Emma and Ben in lockdown, and I’ve been listening to this podcast every week ever since. It encourages me to think differently and reminds me how important play is in my own life. While it’s not a parenting podcast, Emma’s insights into children’s play is really interesting. They add their own perspectives on navigating areas like gaming- really insightful as a parent. A brilliant, thoughtful listen- can’t recommend it enough!
This is my second review because, quite frankly, if you only listen to 1 pod episode as a parent, it should be this one!!
So many intelligent and proven ideas around playing and how adults can get it so wrong for kids. I also love that Marcus thinks we wear galoshes in England 🤣. A wonderful stream of great play ideas into my ears. Thank you Emma ❤️ and I’m definitely going to apply more ‘Camping thinking’ to my life.
Thanks you guys for this awesome loveliness for my ears. You made me laugh so much in this latest episode and off to buy Strong is the new Pretty. Her drive and determination was really inspiring. Looking forward to the next erm fibre drop 😂
I have binge listened to all three podcasts this week on my commute to and from work and have loved every one! I’m a secondary teacher of drama and really value the importance of play within my teaching as well as my family life, so have thoroughly enjoyed following Emma. I eagerly await the next podcast ☺️
I’ve loved both episodes of this podcast so far - really interesting and insightful. They’ve covered topics I didn’t know much about but I found them really engaging. I love Emma and her energy!

A warm, family-forward conversation hosted by a mid-40s couple who share a playful approach to parenting, daily life, and nostalgia.
