This podcast is not as polished or heavily produced as others available however, in some ways it doesn’t need to be. The host is great at guiding each guest through their story and tries to keep pace well to tell a story that is both victim centered, and unique to the other true crime podcasts out there. Some episodes are drier than others, but that’s a given with some of the material there is still a lot to be glean from this podcast.
I’ve been listening to this series, but was particularly blown away by season 2, episodes 5 and 6, about the Boy Scouts. This was really interesting. I had no idea of the history that led to the Boy Scout bankruptcy. After listening, I, for one, am not sorry to know they went bankrupt!
This is not as polished as some podcast series, but it is thoughtful and factual. Recommended.
… Parallel Justice is a means and a great companion to NCVC’s multifaceted approach to trauma informed and survivor centered justice—and healing, of society and self. Parallel Justice promises to advance the vanguard efforts of Susan Herman, as described in her book of the same name, and defined by her actions, in part while at NCVC.
… on an area of law that is misunderstood, underused and — far too often — undercut for all the wrong reasons.
