  • Ah!

Ah, what a breathe of fresh air Alex is! So much left wing bias in the media and it’s great to have people like Pierson, Agar and Mulroney to give us the right side of the story.

  • No longer 5 stars

Once upon a time I would have given this podcast 5 stars .. I can’t do that anymore. Somewhere along the way a decision has been made to shove Dawna Friesen into my podcast feed as well. I never asked for this, I don’t want it and I cannot find a way to turn it off. So for now I have unsubscribed from the Pierson show and just come back for Tom Korski on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Two Tigers in the Suburbs — What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
Q: How did you come to connect with the two tigers, and what experience supports your ability to care for them?
I have extensive experience with zoos, have built enclosures to zoo accreditation standards, and have ongoing safety measures to ensure the cats cannot escape; my goal is to give them a good life while navigating regulatory approvals.
Does the Charter Now Protect Terror Propaganda?
Q: Why wasn't there a quicker or stronger government response to curb this activity?
The guest and host discuss procedural timelines for injunctions, the role of evidence, and political considerations from the Ford administration, noting concerns that delay and legal standards can let dangerous rhetoric persist.
Does the Charter Now Protect Terror Propaganda?
Q: But I'm confused at this one.
Warren explains the complexity around how charter rights intersect with public safety and why the injunction decision appears to hinge on a legal threshold that was not met, suggesting a difficult balance between free speech and the prevention of propaganda.
In the Wake of the Zameer Case, Are Calls for a Judicial Apology About Accountability — Or Do They Cross a Line?
Q: Do we need a public inquiry or a public process to address concerns about the judge and the investigation?
The host and guest discuss that while transparency is important, any action should preserve judicial independence, and they note that there are existing avenues (appeals, judicial councils) that could be used, implying that a rushed inquiry may not be appropriate but public accountability remains important.
Never Again? The Lasting Damage of Pandemic School Shutdowns
Q: Can you explain the third bucket in more detail?
Third bucket refers to students who ended up with no schooling at all during the pandemic, a condition distinct from traditional dropouts or virtual learners, with numbers cited at over 115,000 nationwide, and these kids face profound long-term consequences.
