  • Absolutely delightful

I’ve been listening to this podcast from when it first started and I have absolutely loved it. Keep up the awesome work :)

EDIT: very disappointed by the multiple gambling ads in the latest episode. I have seen the damage that gambling addictions do to people/families and I cannot believe the producers of this podcast decided to let this gambling company advertise on this socially aware podcast. Does not fit the mould at all!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Top End Stories with Miranda Tapsell
Q: What did it take to get that sense of empowerment?
It took realizing that actors are often brought in late into the process, and I wanted to have more control over my own narrative by writing and producing.
Top End Stories with Miranda Tapsell
Q: What was that like for you and what was that process like? And when you got in, was that like your big ticket to leave and go to the city?
It was absolutely a big ticket to leave. I found a new passion in drama which was inspired by Aaron Pederson visiting my school.
Why Melanie Saward Called Out Booktok Boy (aka Luke Bateman)
Q: What inspired you to have that reality aspect to your story in the book? Is it so that Mob felt like the story they were reading, maybe they could connect more deeply to?
Absolutely, its crucial for the narrative to reflect the real experiences of Indigenous people, fostering a connection to the story.
The History of Aboriginal Debutant Balls
Q: What would you say to the people that are behind those sort of glass windows, what would you say to them to entice them to watch Big Girls Don't Cry?
You gain so much by investing in Aboriginal people, and you don't lose anything.
The History of Aboriginal Debutant Balls
Q: Can you tell us what a debutante ball is?
It is a high society event where debutantes present themselves to society, typically dressed in white gowns and performing partner dances.
