This is a wonderful podcast about a writer of enormous influence. Each guest not only brings a different perspective to Amis but also reveals their often complex relationship with him. After each episode you have a deeper understanding of Amis, and also of the guests. Highly recommended.
Great show especially with Alys Denby. Really funny readings and unapologetic in its fulsome well deserved praise.
Very enjoyable series. I agree that they could be longer - not as a criticism but just to confirm how much I enjoyed each episode.
What a joy it is to listen to discussions on the work of a great writer. You’ll agree, you’ll disagree, but, most importantly, you’ll want to pick up one of Amis’s novels and read it again and read it deeply and then pick up another. more
Please keep doing them after you’ve covered all the novels. Could you do a roundtable format? Or favorite Amis lines etc?
