Great podcast. Each episode serves as a thorough and informative appraisal of Amis’ writings, with entertaining personal stories from guests on how Amis influenced their lives. Big thanks to Jack Aldane for creating this podcast
This is a fantastic podcast, in which Jack Aldane talks to different guests about the various works of Martin Amis. Different themes within the books are discussed, and passages read by the guests. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series so far, a ‘must listen’ for any Martin Amis fan, but would also say you don’t have to have read anything by Amis to be able to enjoy this podcast. Five stars from me.
This is a wonderful podcast about a writer of enormous influence. Each guest not only brings a different perspective to Amis but also reveals their often complex relationship with him. After each episode you have a deeper understanding of Amis, and also of the guests. Highly recommended.
Great show especially with Alys Denby. Really funny readings and unapologetic in its fulsome well deserved praise.
Very enjoyable series. I agree that they could be longer - not as a criticism but just to confirm how much I enjoyed each episode.
