  • Appalling Narration!

    Have loved watching Julie Andrews over the years. Always a fan. However the narration of this book is appalling. Julie is copying the Bridgerton Reader by the sounds of it but it doesn’t work. It doesn’t come off. The gaps are too long and the intonation is poor. The accentuating is often in the wrong place or just not right.

    I have had to give up listening.

    I think sadly , maybe Julie is now a case of ā€œthe Emperor’s New Clothesā€ in Reading, and it would be kinder to her memory not to ask ... more
