Why oh why are adverts coming up mid way through the podcast . It’s very dictating makes you question if you have stopped the broadcast or switch the source .
I pay my license to watch and listen to programs without being interrupted by adverts .
So the BBC has started putting adverts for other products/trailers in the middle of episodes?!?! That’s really poor BBC, really poor!!! Please sort it and STOP it!! 1 star for the advert!
Latest episode wrecked by an advert bang in the middle. Bad enough when we started to get promos at the start, but they have spoiled the listening experience. I don’t expect adverts on the BBC: it’s why i pay my licence fee.
Please don’t ruin the story with mid-show ad breaks.
You really interrupt the flow of the show when you add adverts half way through the omnibus. It’s unfair as you are a bbc podcast and we pay for a license so there should be no adverts. Please stop with this new mid episode advert approach. It ruins the experience

This omnibus fires up weekly multi-threaded drama centered on a rural village and its interconnected families, farms, and local institutions. Episodes weave together inheritance debates, show planning, weddings and pregnancies, business disputes, and community events like fairs and church funds, all against a backdrop of tight-knit relationships, mid-life tensions, and evolving loyalties. Noteworthy is the strong ensemble and the way personal decisions ripple through a closely observed community, creating a vivid sense of place and ongoing, interlinked story arcs that reward long-running listeners while staying accessible to newcomers.
A standout feature is the balance between intimate domestic moments and larger-scale community dynamics, ... more
