  • Need to say goodbye

Too many pretentious observations. Perhaps make the show 30 mins.

  • Lively conversation lives!

Yes, their reviews of old favourite books and new-to-me ones are so thoughtful, fun and informative. But it’s the liveliness of the chat, the intelligence, wit and genuine enthusiasm of the hosts and guests that has me totes hooked. Nae better pod!

  • Co host issues

I only listen to two podcasts regularly and this has been such a delight and comfort for a few years now. I have read so many of the books discussed. I am a Patreon supporter.

I am sorry that many of the authors whose books and guests have featured so prominently have either not been paid, or have had their publishing plans disrupted.

The new show without JM just does not work. The mic balancing yesterday was so poor that I had to turn it off. Una was so loud compared to Andy.

  • Where’s John

Still love the show, but I miss John Mitchinson. For the podcast to really work you need a straight man (person) as a foil for Andy. Una, although great as a guest, is not that person. The two of them are just too giggly goo to take.
