I’m not a mom, but I plan to be one at some point, and I’m also a programmer. The breadth of experiences that I’ve learned about on Motherboard have been really helpful! Kathryn is a great, upbeat interviewer — even when discussing some of the crappier experiences that moms have had, they don’t get mired in the bad stuff. Totally recommended to anyone working in tech and thinking of becoming a parent … or is a parent already :D
This is such a neat podcast! I enjoy hearing the stories of other women in tech who've transitioned into a being a "mom in tech". I think the lessons learned, ideas and experiences apply to any women who are working in a male-dominated field.
I wish I had found this podcast sooner! As a new mom working in engineering at a startup, I know that we’re usually the *only* moms working at a startup :)
I’m really enjoying these interviews of women who have gone through the same process, frequently trailblazing as the first women in their organizations to be pregnant and come back from leave. I think this is a wonderful resource, and look forward to future seasons!
