As a traditionally-published picture book author trying to catch up on the industry after a lengthy break, I’ve found Literaticast to be so very helpful a variety of ways. Jen’s interviews are chock full of great insights. I appreciate her down to Earth style and humor, which keeps me listening (ok, binging). I also enjoy the many helpful tidbits offered by the wide variety of publishing professionals and of course the inspiring stories of each guest author. I’ve been sharing this pod with my wr... more
As an emerging kidlit author, I LOVE this podcast. I started with episode 1 and I’m working my way up to the latest show. Jen is genuine, helpful, funny, and smart. She has great guests and I’m learning so much! Thankful to have found this gem.
Jennifer and her amazing line up of guests have been keeping me company this winter while I walk my dog and do the dishes. Such a great combo of warm, funny, interesting conversation and truly helpful nuggets of insight and information about the craft and business of children's literature, including elements of the industry that are less often talked about, like translation.
Of all the Kidlit book, writing, & publishing podcasts I listen to, The Literaticast is my favorite. Jen not only hosts a wide variety of guests, but she’s super real and transparent about anything and everything happening in the Kidlit world. (Btw my phone keeps capitalizing Kidlit - it’s not me, I swear.) Essential listening for all Kidlit lovers. Plus, it’s entertaining!
Jennifer brings the BEST guests when it comes to the creative world for children
