I am listening about Joann’s finding for bankruptcy. It is going to be a loss, but I want to make one comment about their fabrics. As someone who sees garments, I find their fabrics to be very disappointing. It is great if you are a quilter or make costumes but it is impossible to find true fabric stores. I can shop online but would rather see the fabrics. By trying to be all things to all crafters, the quality is at a lower common denominator.
Love Abby's interviews, interesting people and topics. This is a great podcast to learn from.
This show is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. I like Abby, I think she’s smart and inquisitive and asks good questions. But I have two complaints. One is the overall sound quality. I’ve been listening for years and it feels like it’s never improved much. With so many podcasts in my ears every week, this show stands out as feeling pretty amateur in terms of sound. The second and more substantive reason, is that so so so many of the interviews revolve around knitting and yarn. I don’t knit,... more
today with dana williams-johnson...best episode ever. for woobles: i am an advanced crocheter but i loved doing these and learned some nee things. i used the patterns with small thread to make minis which my grands love! i love this program. i don't cross stitch but LOVED your talk with stephanie rohr. she is just an awesome sounding creative!
