Love the show. We can’t have enough of podcasts in this style and in a big fan of OSE :)
An amazing immersive listen with excellent worldbuilding, and a healthily brutal attitude to not saving characters from gruesome deaths!
Classic swords and sorcery podcast goodness. Give it a listen!
Legends from the Fireside perfectly captures the weirdness, excitement, wonder - and lethality - of playing Old-School D&D. Every time I listen, I am taken back in time to the 80s to enjoy the game just like I did as a kid. The story is told with real dramatic flare and the characters are truly memorable, and the world -building is rich and nuanced. It sits pretty high in my top 10 TTRPG podcasts!
I’m a huge fan of BX, OSE and other OSR games and this is incredibly well done. I love the balance between narrative and mechanics. I love the music, I love the episode length and the way the episodes transition between multiple storylines and character profiles.
I don’t want to drop spoilers, but one character death about half way through the series literally had me teary eyed.
This series is excellent, please keep it up.
