This is the go-to podcast if you want to hear interviews with some of the leading lights in solo RPGs. I love PJ's easy interviewing style, he really gets his guests to open up about their gaming history, and their insights into the hobby. I can't recommend highly enough, and look forward to every episode. His most recent, with Mike Shea of Sly Flourish, was up there with his chats with Tana Pigeon, creator of Mythic. I'd give it 6 if I could!
A great variety show of a podcast, the Solo RolePlayers Podcast is a dive into interviews with folks in the space, actual plays, and more. I find the pacing and audio quality to always be top notch, and it’s a great show to get a vibe for what’s happening in the RPG scene; I hope the show keeps up for a while because it’s always got fun content to dive into.
This is one of my go-to resources for solo role-playing games. It has interviews with some of the best designers in table top, podcasters and content creators who turn solo RPGs into stunning audio drama, and really useful how to resources. Episodes, though, are the ones where PJ turns his own solo games into actual play audio dramas. He has a way of flowing between discussing the gameplay and mechanics and telling an immersive story that is unique in the sphere of solo RPG podcasting.
PJ does a great job of being approachable, yet deeply knowledgeable about TTRPG systems and solo play tools. Hugely recommended!
The host, PJ, is friendly, breezy and inviting. He welcomes you to join him as he samples a large variety of solo games. Additionally, there are interviews with luminaries like Tana Pigeon & Cezar Capacle that provide so much insight. On top of all this, the production vaules are top notch. The show a must-listen for anyone into solo gaming.
