Only 5 star reviews! I’m impressed
Storytelling is great and the behind the curtain sections give just enough background to be educational without allowing technical gameplay ruin the story. I really love the periodic references to alternative sources to add to my own collection of solo RPG tools. Just finishing the first season but excited and surprised to see seasons 2 and 3 cover a couple more systems I am most excited to delve into.
As a fantasy fan I was not sure the steampunk setting would scratch the itch however this podcast is excellent! I would definitely recommend it. Great balance between telling a story and behind the scenes game mechanics. Can’t wait for season 3 to be completed, this is currently the only thing I’m listening to. Give it a go, I doubt you’ll regret it
Love the format! Not only is Carl White an excellent storyteller, he pauses in between scenes to give perspective on the Mythic GM feedback, which I find extremely interesting. Anyone who enjoys Trevor Devall’s work on Me, Myself, and Die will love this series.
Really good podcast. I hate DnD but that doesn't matter. Focus here is on a nice story, a great didactic series on solo RPG and Mythic GME with good ambience and a great host/player/GM. Love it!
