This show does a fantastic job bringing dice rolls to life! Anyone who loves solo RPG at it’s best will love the gritty drama unfolding with each episode.
I really like this podcast. There are several similar solo play podcasts that tie narrative with solo play to create an audio drama. Some are good some aren’t, but this one is great. The narrator is so well spoken and consistent. The voice acting is entertaining and makes it easy to listen to. The story is compelling. I really enjoy this one.
I’ve listened to this show from the start and it is fantastic. There is a storyline to keep things moving but enough random events to help the wider world feel real. The characters are all distinct and have their own personalities which makes it easy to get invested in their survival. Which makes the combats all the more more stressful as there really are no guardrails up and the combats can be incredibly tense / dangerous.

Legend of the Bones is a masterful example of the solo play, audio drama genre. Not only are the narratives well woven and engaging, but the audio quality and voice acting are always of the highest caliber.
Legend of the Bones used classic D&D to tell a powerful dark fantasy story that weaves ancient and Medieval British Culture and modern pulp into a rich and evocative whole. The world building is second to none, the prose lush, and the narration a pleasure to listen to. It has been in my top 5 favorite podcasts since it launched!

The show pitches a grim, high-stakes fantasy world told through a hybrid of solo RPG narration and audio drama. Episodes center on perilous journeys, tense combat, and character-driven storytelling, with heavy emphasis on dice-driven magic and fate, atmospheric sound design, and evolving interpersonal dynamics within a tight-knit party. Production quality and a growing roster of guest voice talent help keep the world feeling expansive, while maintaining a clear through-line of survival, loyalty, and morally murky decisions. It stands out for weaving classic old-school RPG mechanics into cinematic audio storytelling, creating a distinctive experience for listeners who crave immersive fantasy and mature storytelling.
