  • Arts and Health Episode w/ Renae Fleming

I’m sorry but, when it comes to Arts and Health, Renae Fleming must have been living underneath a rock till just now. Many hospitals around LA county have been incorporating Various forms of artistic expression with healthcare for many years. For example CHLA has had “Artists in residence” working with their pediatric patients for well over 15 years. There are also various artists who are creating art through their medical diagnosis. • One of the 2 best opera podcasts out there!

Along with Aria Code, this is the best opera podcast I’ve found. James Conlon is the perfect host; incredibly knowledgeable, but he ‘wears it lightly.’ I love his enthusiasm, but even more, his gifts as a teacher. Bravo, bravo from a ‘die-hard’ NYer who is intensely loyal to her beloved Met. I can’t wait to get to LA again to come hear you live.
