  • Sense of Place

I have a 45 minute commute to work each day and run through a lot of podcasts, but none can deliver me the sense of place that I feel when listening to Kaatskast. As a full time resident of Delaware County near Hobart for over 15 years, I’m still amazed at the people and places that make up a rich history and hopeful future for our little place on the earth…always learning new things and more about things I thought I already knew! Thanks to Brett and the Silver Hollow Team! Happy New Year!!

  • Indigenous Catskills

This was wonderful! Utterly fascinating and informative. Loved learning more about the Lenape, the “original peoples,” who populated our hills. I feel the Lenape presence on this mountain every day, in the mists rising from the West Branch of the Delaware, the bluestone boulders, the streams, where I have found Lenape arrowheads. Justin has animated the history of the Lenape, giving us such insight into their language and land practices, especially our forests, which still their unique care. A M... more
