  • Feels like family

When I get in the car for work and feel stressed about the day to come, nothing makes me feel better like spending some time listening to the BOGP crew. Universally kind and accepting to all who call, they create an atmosphere that feels like being with trusted friends…friends who unashamedly share my most beloved hobby. Add to it the Lizards running group, the most supportive space on the internet, and Mike and company have created a meaningful and fun community. You should join it. All are wel... more

  • Midwesterners

Many people from the midwest go to Disney world. I think you have to get out of the basement more. St Louis is not a small city. Go out and see it! Who knew he was from Missouri. Got old. Good bye.

How can Mike not know how to tell someone that wants to go for two weeks how they can use their ticket every other day on their trip. He said they wouldn’t get enough days on a 7 day ticket. Sure if they buy it separate. Buy a package and the ticket usage will span any 7 days of their resort stay. Ge... more

  • Amazing Podcast!

I absolutely love this podcast and wish I could give more than a 5 star review. The hosts are educational but so fun (Pam’s laugh makes me smile every time). My favorite episodes are when the gang is all together. Mike, your patience and kindness with listeners during the call-in shows doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for continuing to be amazing!

Listener Questions - May 6, 2026 - Retiring to Walt Disney World, Room Requests, Fishing @ WDW - BOGP 2888
Q: How does EEH work with base tickets and what should you know when planning a visit on arrival day or during special ticket events?
You need a valid park ticket to enter any park during EEH or dining events, base tickets generally allow one park per day, and park-hopper options are needed to visit multiple parks in one day; plan accordingly and consider Disney Springs for late-night activities if you don't have a park ticket that day.
Listener Questions - May 6, 2026 - Retiring to Walt Disney World, Room Requests, Fishing @ WDW - BOGP 2888
Q: How should a guest approach room requests at Disney World to maximize their chances of a good location?
Explain the guest's goals (proximity to transportation, pool, or parking) rather than listing a specific building; allow the cast to optimize within inventory, and understand that some areas may offer better views or closer access, while still relying on the room assigner to find a suitable match.
Listener Questions - May 6, 2026 - Retiring to Walt Disney World, Room Requests, Fishing @ WDW - BOGP 2888
Q: What are the must-do rides for a one-day visit to Disneyland for a Walt Disney World veteran with a limited time?
The hosts suggest prioritizing Fantasyland for early entry by those eligible, then focusing on rides exclusive to Disneyland or unique to its mix of experiences, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, with a reminder that Space Mountain differs between locations and that the density of ride options can be managed by thoughtful use of Lightning Lane.
Listener Questions - April 29, 2026 - 2 Continents/2 Disney Parks/1 Day; Christmas @ WDW; Brightline to Lauderdale - BOGP 2884
Q: When do Christmas party tickets tend to come out for resort guests vs. all guests?
Ticket release typically happens in July with resort guests often getting early access, followed by a broader release for all guests; dates can vary year to year, and planning early helps with availability.
Listener Questions - April 22, 2026 - Disneyland Club-Level; Aulani, DCL, or Disneyland First?; 4th of July Fireworks - BOGP 2880
Q: If you were recommending a first non-World destination for a Disney World veteran, which would you choose and why?
The group leans toward recommending a Disney Cruise as the first new destination due to its all-inclusive feel, extensive entertainment, and the chance to experience a different Disney flavor with curated service and broad itineraries.
