  • Midwesterners

Many people from the midwest go to Disney world. I think you have to get out of the basement more. St Louis is not a small city. Go out and see it! Who knew he was from Missouri. Got old. Good bye.

How can Mike not know how to tell someone that wants to go for two weeks how they can use their ticket every other day on their trip. He said they wouldn’t get enough days on a 7 day ticket. Sure if they buy it separate. Buy a package and the ticket usage will span any 7 days of their resort stay. Ge... more

  • Fantastic show!

Love this show - been listening since the beginning, nearly two decades ago. Awesome group that brings a dose of Disney and joy to every week. But team, we’ve got to figure out who is always hitting their mic and typing in the background! 😂

It’s not the Gulf of America Mike. I’m actually kind of shocked Scott is friends with a Trump guy.

Listener Questions - July 15, 2026 - Sailing from Galveston with DCL; Disneyland Dining Recs; "Chicken" Exits at WDW; More - BOGP 2927
Q: A listener asks about tips for sailing out of Galveston and pre/post-cruise hotel options near the port.
Look for hotels close to the port like Tremont House or Harbor House and verify whether they offer port shuttle transportation; sometimes flying into Galveston can be cheaper, but compare with flights to other ports; weigh port proximity and transportation when planning pre/post-cruise stays.
Listener Questions - July 15, 2026 - Sailing from Galveston with DCL; Disneyland Dining Recs; "Chicken" Exits at WDW; More - BOGP 2927
Q: Caitlin asks for a sit-down dining recommendation at Disneyland Resort, specifically with a multi-generational group and a dining package already secured at River Belle Terrace.
Consider Lamplight Lounge or Carthay Circle Lounge for good atmosphere and view, with Carthay Circle being more expensive; Downtown Disney options have expanded to include new venues such as Gordon Ramsay's restaurant; balance menu options and price with the group's preferences and the park day plan.
Listener Questions - July 15, 2026 - Sailing from Galveston with DCL; Disneyland Dining Recs; "Chicken" Exits at WDW; More - BOGP 2927
Q: Hey Mike, Pam, Rikki and Scott, I have a question about ditching the queue before getting on a ride. My husband loves the Muppets and was crushed when they closed the courtyard while he is happy they came back over at Rock and Roller Coaster. He is not a rides person and definitely not a roller coaster with loops person. He won't be riding despite me telling him you don't have, you don't even realize you go upside down.
Suggest using Lightning Lane to minimize waiting if you want to ride; if you want to see the full Muppet experience, do the full queue to catch pre-show and details, and you can still meet up with your party after the ride using coordinated Lightning Lane timing. If you want him to see the Muppet area, you can plan his visit around the pre-show portions and later meet up; for the actual ride, you'll need a Lightning Lane for your group to keep schedules aligned.
Listener Questions - July 29, 2026 - Early Entry at WDW; French Quarter or Polynesian; Early Check-in "Hack?"; DCL Private Islands - BOGP 2935
Q: Listener Wendy asks about early check-in for a 10-night Southern Caribbean cruise, arriving around 6am after a red-eye, and whether to add a night so a room is ready.
The hosts suggest coordinating with a travel agent and Disney to indicate late arrival, and advise booking the extra night to ensure a room is reserved without being counted as a no-show; online check-in can help but should be supplemented with a call to confirm arrival plans.
Listener Questions (From the Hospital!) - August 5, 2026 - BOGP 2939
Q: How can Roger sneak away from a conference and still appear engaged with his annual pass perks?
Be visible early in the day—handshake-heavy mornings—then schedule lunch breaks to enjoy park time, and use the pass perks to maximize value while ensuring appearances remain part of professional obligations.
