  • My 6-year-old’s Favorite Podcast

My husband and I took our kids (then, 3 and 5) to Disney for the first time in November. I stumbled upon Rope Drop Radio when I was beginning to plan. My son, Breccan (Doug, that’s pronounced Breck-in), started listening with me almost daily during our car rides to and from school. Now he absolutely loves Lauren and Doug and even convinced me to become a Patreon member because he NEEDED to hear the After Show. RDR started out as a planning tool, and now it’s become a regular part of our week. Th... more

  • Love Rope Drop Radio

I love this fun and informative Disney podcast! I always learn fun new tips, tricks, and things I want to try on my next trip. Listening to Rope Drop Radio adds a little bit of magic to my day, even when I am far from Disney! Doug and Lauren have great interactions and conversations that keep it real and entertaining.

Also, Doug’s voice reminds me of Josh Gad, so it’s almost like listening to Disney tips from Olaf-it’s the best. 😂

Thanks Doug and Lauren for bringing the magic each week!

  • Novice to Pro

I am a rookie planning a family multi-generational trip to Disney World. A Disney pro friend recommended this podcast, and I have absolutely binged it. Within the course of just a few days, the many episodes I’ve listened to have taken me from clueless to feeling well-informed. This resource has been great for me, since podcasts are easier to fit in my schedule than extensive reading or internet research. Thanks to the hosts for their hard work!

  • The BEST Podcast

This is my one and only Disney podcast that keeps me feeling connected to the parks all the way from Colorado. I love my Friday tradition of listening to the latest episode during leg day. People at the gym think I’m crazy, but Lauren and Doug get me pumped! Keep it up guys!!

6 College Students Take on Disney World | The Ultimate Group Trip Report
Q: How did you decide on the lodging arrangement for a group of six college students?
We chose a Lion King Suite at the Art of Animation because it fit all of us, kept everyone together under one roof, and was more economical than booking separate rooms, which helped with coordination and sharing spaces like the kitchenette.
Disney World Listener Questions: Tips, Hot Takes & Planning Help
Q: Any advice for those with motion sickness and food allergies on cruises or at Epic?
For allergies, Disney-style practices work well (note allergy and have staff adjust orders); motion sickness is trickier on Universal with screens, so avoid long, screen-heavy experiences.
Disney World Listener Questions: Tips, Hot Takes & Planning Help
Q: What other activities in Central Florida are good besides theme parks or cruises?
Suggestions include visiting the Space Center, outlet malls, Disney Springs, and Medieval Times dinner shows as non-park activities.
Disney World Listener Questions: Tips, Hot Takes & Planning Help
Q: Where do we think the Disney Believe cruise ship will sail out of and how will that affect itineraries?
The consensus is that it will likely start in Florida with other ships possibly repositioning to balance schedules, offering more options and ports.
RDR 491: WDW Questions Answered! Rope Drop Radio Listener Q&A
Q: What is your favorite quiet, less busy spot, not a restaurant in each park to take a break?
Epcot has quiet spots around the imagination area and Hollywood Studios has the area around the Tower of Terror's exit.
