This podcast is serious quality. Gunnar’s energy is magnetic — you’ll come for the thrifty travel tips but stay because he makes you laugh every time. In the oversaturated and competitive world of points and miles pods, Gunnar brings something fresh and addicting that will keep your P&M knowledge up to date, but also be the highlight of your day. I love how the guys on this pod don’t take themselves too seriously!! I also love how TT doesn’t only focus on P&M but also on cash flights and encoura... more

  • The worst!!!

Gunnar Olsen is a red headed clown,

Listening to his nonsense, man get outta town.

He starts the show with ‘Yo’ and ends the show with ‘C-ya’,

I want nothing to do with this BAM! Onomatopoeia.

Poor Kyle Potter sits quietly by,

whilst Canada and O’hare are thrown on the fly.

You think sky pesos are worthless just wait till you see,

Turn on the POD Gunnar hosts that they call TT.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dropping Airfare, Thailand & The Case Against Points & Miles
Q: Leon asks if it is better to fly directly into London with higher taxes or to fly into a different European city and then take a cheap cash flight into London.
The suggestion is to split the trip: fly into London to minimize taxes and fees, but depart from another European city using a low-cost cash flight to complete the journey, thus balancing taxes with overall travel costs.
How to Earn a Million Points & Fly Delta One for Less
Q: Violet asked if she should book a backup flight for her June trip with Lufthansa, given potential cancellations.
The hosts recommend having a flexible backup or using points to book, and emphasize that EU 261 protections can help with refunds for EU-originating itineraries, reducing risk while staying prepared.
How to Earn a Million Points & Fly Delta One for Less
Q: Aubrey asked whether travelers should worry about summer Europe flight cancellations due to jet fuel prices and capacity.
The hosts advise not to panic, explaining that Lufthansa's cuts are limited and rarely affect typical routes like Rome; they recommend flexible backups and using points or refundable fares to preserve options.
Bilt Has Us Wondering: Is Chase Still King of Travel Rewards?
Q: Chase Sapphire Reserve changes broadly; should we still care about Chase points?
Chase remains solid but less dominant; the Sapphire Reserve changes, higher annual fees, and removal of 3x travel earn have reduced its edge, making diversification and considering other programs more prudent.
Bilt Has Us Wondering: Is Chase Still King of Travel Rewards?
Q: Jennifer asked about the new Bilt cards complex math; is it worth engaging with Bilt to collect points?
Yes, for those with large ongoing expenses like daycare or mortgage payments, the Bilt Palladium can be worthwhile due to 2x earning on non-bonus spend and Bilt Cash that helps cover mortgage payments, though it requires commitment to Bilt as a primary spend platform.
