  • 1984 podcast

This subject was what drew me to the podcast.

But unfortunately the story wasn’t told well.

I only know the basics and wanted to educate myself on this subject further. If someone new to this topic listened, they would be so confused!!!

I think there needs to be a podcast series with episodes telling the story day by day leading up to that major events. That would be more educational for everyone.

Talking Points

Harjap Bhangal: Why Brown People Are Voting For Reform & How To FIX The UK Immigration System?| #266
Q: First question about Indians claiming a visa to come to the UK. Is it harder to obtain a visa now than ever?
The guest explains that obtaining a visa isn't necessarily harder, but applicants and colleges have become more cautious due to fraud and scams; the emphasis is on providing thorough documentation, clear purpose, finances, and evidence of intent to return. In older times, processing could be more open, but modern checks require substantial, well-documented evidence, akin to qualifying for a mortgage.

It depends on the parents' generation; first-generation immigrants tend to prefer traditional secure jobs, while later generations are more open to modern career paths.
