  • Great show

    Love this show.

But please organize the podcasts differently.

First, most recent at the top, so we don’t need to scroll through a bunch of old podcasts to find the most recent.

Second, it would be nice if you could find a way to date the podcasts so if I listen to older podcasts I have an idea when they were created.

  • Great show

Greetings from Billings. I worked hard for the last 2 campaigns (even door knocking) and have met the senator a couple times. He’s a good man. This interview with Gloria Allred was so enlightening. I would like to see her out there more. She knows so much from the most important (survivor) point of view. I do have to listen to this on 1.5 speed but that’s just me. Originally being from Chicago, Montanans speak too slow.

  • Not co-equal branches of government

From a fellow native Montanan. Almost every week you state that congress is a co-equal branch of the US government. From my civic class I learned Article 1 - “the people” - is the primary and superior branch. Controls the budget, oversight of executive, war-making power, etc.

Granting the president power over the legislative has created this untenable situation.

This Thing is Very Far From Lost
Q: What would you consider a break-glass moment in the US?
A true break-glass moment would be Republicans in Congress taking concrete action to impeach or constrain the president if his actions threaten constitutional order, something he argues could involve preventing a misuse of federal power around elections.
This Thing is Very Far From Lost
Q: Could you give us a view of is democracy under attack all over the world, or is this a unique thing just to the US?
Diamond explains it is a global pattern of democratic erosion, with some regions resisting more than others, but the US context is part of a broader trend toward illiberalism rather than an isolated phenomenon.
