Excellent podcast that keeps you up to date on legal issues and current events. I don't have a legal background, but feel it's critical to stay up to date on what going on in our courts. I never miss a podcast. Cannot recommend this presentation by Andrew Weisemann and Mary McCord enough. Excellent
As a lawyer, I am so grateful for the work that Mary and Andrew are doing to distill all of the important cases that continue to drop out there. This is one of the few podcasts that I listen to every week. The nation needs to understand how fragile the rule of law is under this administration, and this show helps to explain just how.
Andrew & Mary exceptional. I’ve not missed an episode since before the pod name change. They seamlessly breakdown down complex legal developments - often in real time - in a way that is accessible and deeply informed. This pod is a steadfast treasure in these chaotic and uncertain times.
“We’ve got a lot to get to today, Mary.”
This is, in my world, the very best pod. To me it's like the Maddow show -- always worth more attention, another listen, quiet, thoughtful time with a good cuppa.
I can’t find how to send questions to you so my apologies for using “Review” to send my question. Is there a way to preemptively bring a case to SCOTUS before a crime has occurred? For example, could SCOTUS rule that elections cannot be nationalized before Trump actually takes steps in that direction (and succeeds)? It seems that waiting for it to become a reality will be too late to bring that case to SCOTUS.
