Reviews

4.5 out of 5 stars from 8.1k ratings
  • Best political commentary show on the airwaves

I have listened to the show ever since Trump decided to run for president almost a decade ago. Nicole Wallace is absolutely top notch when it comes to political commentary and her guests are superb. The only problem I have is the division now into two separate hour along podcasts. I live in Europe and so can’t watch the show and so I listen to it first thing in the morning. I have noticed glitches in the regularity of the uploading of the shows and sometimes entire episodes are missed. Also, wha... more

  • It’s obvious ..

It’s obvious that MSNOW doesn’t read these reviews, and couldn’t care less (read: give a damn) about their listeners. The most common review posts here are complaints about the tardy (sometimes 24 hours late) posts of the episodes. Why can’t you get these posted on time? Are unpaid interns doing the work while the hosts make a million dollars a year? And don’t blame Apple. They’re not posted on time on Overcast, either.

  • Wish episode loading was consistent

Gave 4 stars because of the delayed loading hours even days later. Otherwise Deadline White House is my FAVORITE! Nicole is Fantastic! She is on point, her guests are knowledgeable and I really feel like she gets at the issue and calls it for what it is. Great stuff!!

  • My Go To…

Deadline White House is the only news/politics podcast I listen to these days. Comprehensive analysis, opinions, and dialogue. I appreciate Nicole Wallace’s insight, and the thoughtful intelligence she offers in both query and response. Now, if we could just get the podcasts in a more timely manner, things could be perfect!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

"A fight over who owns the truth"
Q: Let me ask you a question, Jim Acosta, that people actually ask me on the street. They ask me, why don't the White House correspondents stick up for one another when Trump calls one of them a piggy, or a terrible reporter, or attacks their news organization?
Acosta discusses the dynamics between reporters and newsroom leadership, noting that many bosses pressure staff to stay quiet and not challenge the establishment, but highlighting moments when colleagues did stand up for each other as important signs of professional courage.
“A myriad of vanity projects”
Q: What are the strategic implications of the investigations and alleged misuses of power for the upcoming elections?
Guest analysts argue that accountability and credible handling of allegations are crucial to maintaining voter trust, with emphasis on how these issues influence Senate races and the balance of power.
“Demanding an election army”
Q: Is this more about justice or is it about revenge?
The guests frame it as justice, arguing that accountability for actions is essential, while acknowledging the political dimension of prosecutions and the need to uphold the rule of law.
"Whether or not the Director of the FBI was telling Congress the truth"
Q: Do you know that it is a crime to lie to Congress?
The director states he does not lie to Congress, while the hosts suggest there are broader concerns about misleading statements and the handling of evidence, indicating a complex dynamic around truthfulness and accountability.
“Democracy at stake in Tennessee”
Q: Why is there urgency to mobilize allies beyond civil rights groups?
Because the broad network of legal professionals, nonprofits, and cross-sector supporters are essential to sustained oversight and action, ensuring that the integrity of elections is protected even as courts and administrations shift.
