  • Mondavi interview..disappointed!

Ilistened to today’s interview with Mondavi, and was struck not one mention of the Jewish voters, and their fear of his radicalism regarding Israel. No. mention of his not going to the Israel parade, either. I am so sad,as I usually likeJen..but, herlack of full picture discussion with Mondavi makes me very uncertain about her.so very disappointed. It would have been great for her to talk about Jewish New Yorkers, and theirambivalences about Mondavi or anger. Of the anti Israel commentshe and his ... more

  • Comey & the Supreme Court

As an attorney, I begged to differ with Mr. Comey.

The Supreme Court has no enforceable code of ethics and is the most corrupt pro corporate in my lifetime

This courts abusive use of the shadow docket makes it impossible for lower courts to follow because one paragraph rulings are useless.

  • Graham Platner

Platner surely says all the right things, but is he a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Is the GOP pulling a fast one in Maine and also S Dakota. Both of these guys were staunch republicans in the recent past. Have they really changed their stripes or are they pulling a trump to get elected only to put a knife in our backs next January. Of course one could argue that either one might be better than what we have now. Money has way of changing people.

ps-We are celebrating May Day tomorrow in rural & agricultural SE Washington State with gas prices now over $5 gal and diesel prices at $6.99 gal. The cost of fertilizer is also rising rapidly. Neither of these are helping our many farming communities.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

'Donald Trump is gonna hate it': Mobile Epstein files museum hits the road
Q: What is the significance of the Epstein files traveling exhibit in Capitol Hill?
Miles Taylor explains it as a provocative, mobile demonstration meant to compel senators to confront the magnitude of the Epstein files, emphasize survivors' experiences, and push for accountability without redaction.
Devastating poll shows Trump's base crumbling
Q: Joining me now is Senator Adam Schiff, what is your read on the latest developments with Blanche's nomination and the House/Senate dynamics?
Schiff emphasizes that the two holdouts are fighting for protections against the broader implications of the deal, and he cautions that partisan leverage could push the process further, while still acknowledging hopeful signs of a constructive resolution.
INSTANT REACTION: Why Trump allies' criminal referral of Jack Smith 'doesn't pass the laugh test'
Q: What could happen next year in relation to this matter?
A grand jury could be convened, investigations could progress, and there may be further disclosures that either support or undermine the Republicans' perjury theory, though the legal outcome remains uncertain.
INSTANT REACTION: Why Trump allies' criminal referral of Jack Smith 'doesn't pass the laugh test'
Q: Why is the White House text messages versus toll records being conflated supposed to matter in this case?
Because it underscores the difference between what was subpoenaed and what actually existed in the White House records, which changes the alleged scope of wrongdoing and deflates the perjury claim.
INSTANT REACTION: Why Trump allies' criminal referral of Jack Smith 'doesn't pass the laugh test'
Q: What do you make of the Hawley argument about Smith's records and potential lies to Congress?
The argument rests on selective quoting; Smith's deposition and the scope of records show a nuanced requirement, and the panel's framing seems to be sticking to a narrow interpretation intended to create a scandal rather than prove perjury.
