  • Really?

Bizarre discussion today about gerrymandering. Very little nuance noted about the difference between how the two parties are handling it. Have this discussion when we aren’t in an all out war for Democracy….doing it now comes across as out of touch and ridiculous.

I may be done with this podcast. Barbara, Democrats are not just like Republicans. This redistricting midstream was started by Trump and Texas. Kim, you couldn’t just leave it alone. You cannot bring as one podcast or said you cannot bring a pillow to a gun or knife fight. What were Democrats supposed to do? Just let the Republicans gerrymander every state that they control? You ladies can’t have it both ways. This is a very serious issue. So stop trying to ingratiate yourself with ever... more

  • Loving the choice of questions!

I enjoyed this latest episode of questions and the not politically charged ones! Regular every day questions the effect every day folk! I wasn’t aware Michigan’s cap on Small Claims Court went up to $8000. Keep on with the political and current event questions and please keep sprinkling in these questions as well!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

310: Oh The Hypocrisy
Q: What are the key differences between Bolton's case and Petraeus's case?
They note Bolton's seven-year span and over a thousand pages versus Petraeus's shorter period and fewer items, as well as the involvement of US-Israeli security concerns and the broader implications for national security, which collectively contribute to Bolton facing a different legal trajectory.
309: Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Trump’s Slush Fund, But Were Afraid To Ask.
Q: Can the next Attorney General rescind the settlement or halt the fund, and does it have staying power until 2028?
The hosts explain that the fund is self-limiting and expires before the next inauguration, but emphasize that ongoing litigation and potential legislative fixes remain possible routes to address it.
311: Trademark Infringement Is A Drag
Q: After Todd Blanche leaves the Trump administration, can he be disbarred for unethical conduct?
The hosts discuss possible state bar actions, noting misconduct rules, disbarment possibilities, and how different states handle investigations and sanctions.
311: Trademark Infringement Is A Drag
Q: This is Harry from Northern Virginia. As a physician, there are consequences for me if I make a medical mistake, a malpractice suit, or if I do something unethical or knowingly do something wrong, the state board can investigate me. For federal prosecutors, what are the consequences if they make a mistake or, more importantly, if they do something unethical or knowingly wrong?
Joyce and Barb explain that prosecutors are governed by professional standards with internal DOJ discipline, and when necessary, state bars can discipline or disbar; there is an emphasis on accountability and the potential for disbarment or other penalties.
305: Golden Idol
Q: Would Article 2, Section 4 be a better way to remove the president and cabinet all at once?
No, impeachment and removal must be pursued individually for each official; they could be packaged in one document but allegations must be specific to each person.
