  • Epstein case during the Biden administration

    From Lee NYC.

My understanding is that the Maxwell case was on appeal to the Supreme Court until late into the last year of the Biden term.

While , this appeal was pension there is no way documents could be released to the public, correct?

The Trump administration only indicted Maxwell as a co-conspirator. My question is why other co-conspirators were not indicted under the Biden admin. Could Maureen. Comey testify regarding her investigation in New York.

  • Too many ads!

I used to listen to this podcast every Saturday.

I cut way back my daily news diet after the 2024 election. I decided to listen to the latest episode and was instantly reminded of another reason I stopped listening. While it is very informative and used to make me regret not going to law school, there are way too many ads! The first 7-8 minutes of the latest episode was Kim reading a sponsor ad. With each show having 4-5 sponsors, that’s at least a third of the show taken up with ads. I wish th... more

  • So informative!

I feel that we finally have a reality check when tuning in. The expertise here is unparalleled. I really wish that the laughter when reporting very serious issues could be toned down. I know that it can’t all be serious but some of the laughter is unsettling. When you all admit that serious issues are not funny, maybe don’t project laughter.

296: FACE Off
Q: Can you tell us what the FACE Act is and why Congress enacted it?
FACE Act prohibits blocking access to clinics and related facilities, including churches; it was enacted in 1994 in response to violence and threats targeting abortion providers and resource centers to protect the right to enter.
297: Hold Their Feet To The Fire

295: Who Owns The Moon
Q: At what point can striking workers be fired, and is scabbing legal?
Kim details NLRA protections for protected strikes and explains that public employees may be exempt, temporary workers can be hired during a strike but must be returned to their job afterward, and that intentional permanent replacement can violate NLRA.
295: Who Owns The Moon
Q: Did the USA claim the moon, and how are the rights to it and other space resources determined? Is it first come, first served?
They explain that no one owns the moon under the Outer Space Treaty, that flags planted by various countries have no legal binding ownership, and that mining rights would have to follow international treaties and agreements.
