  • Really?

Bizarre discussion today about gerrymandering. Very little nuance noted about the difference between how the two parties are handling it. Have this discussion when we aren’t in an all out war for Democracy….doing it now comes across as out of touch and ridiculous.

I may be done with this podcast. Barbara, Democrats are not just like Republicans. This redistricting midstream was started by Trump and Texas. Kim, you couldn’t just leave it alone. You cannot bring as one podcast or said you cannot bring a pillow to a gun or knife fight. What were Democrats supposed to do? Just let the Republicans gerrymander every state that they control? You ladies can’t have it both ways. This is a very serious issue. So stop trying to ingratiate yourself with ever... more

  • Loving the choice of questions!

I enjoyed this latest episode of questions and the not politically charged ones! Regular every day questions the effect every day folk! I wasn’t aware Michigan’s cap on Small Claims Court went up to $8000. Keep on with the political and current event questions and please keep sprinkling in these questions as well!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

305: Golden Idol
Q: Would Article 2, Section 4 be a better way to remove the president and cabinet all at once?
No, impeachment and removal must be pursued individually for each official; they could be packaged in one document but allegations must be specific to each person.
307: The Return Of The Power Broker
Q: What about the question of suppressing evidence and juror knowledge in high-profile cases?
They explain that while knowledge of evidence being suppressed can pose issues, proper jury selection and voir dire can mitigate pretrial publicity, ensuring jurors promise to decide the case only on admissible evidence heard in court.
306: Trump Slush Fund: Are You Kidding Me‽
Q: What is the status of the Presidential Records Act in current litigation and what did the judge decide?
A federal judge issued an emergency injunction requiring top White House staff to preserve records, but excluded the president and vice president from the directive; the ruling supports the Act's transparency goals but controversy remains over scope and enforcement.
306: Trump Slush Fund: Are You Kidding Me‽
Q: Can the DOJ settlement fund be legally used to compensate Trump allies or victims of weaponization without a pending case?
The panel argues it is not a legally valid use of the Judgment Fund because there is no ongoing case or controversy and no court approval, making the arrangement likely unlawful or at least ethically problematic.
301: CSI: Seashells Division
Q: How are small claims cases brought and adjudicated?
They are designed to be inexpensive and quick, with a judge but no jury, and often involve small sums; parties represent themselves unless the other side hires a lawyer, and judgments can lead to asset recovery if the other side doesn't show up.
