  • What’s the Premises of this show?!

I’ve listened to this show many times and even participated on it as a guest and find it to be really enjoyable. It’s pretty hard hitting and digs into the depth of some topics that other podcasts, blogs and media just tend to not cover at all! Love it!

  • Great!

Really like the podcast info related to off and on-premises cloud info. Grammar nerd alert....it's "on premises", not "on premise". :-)

  • Fresh

The intro voice reminds me of Chris Parnell in Hot Rod. So AM radio! So fresh & so clean! Great choice, and keeping it very hip while keeping up with the IT community.

43. 6GHz Will Help IoT Adoption
Q: Do you see these kind of external influence situations causing hiccups in the IoT space?
Yes, external influences and non-802.11 devices will continue to challenge the IoT space, but 6 GHz will help mitigate some issues.
43. 6GHz Will Help IoT Adoption
Q: Why was it so important for us to open up the 6 gigahertz band?
Opening the 6 GHz band allows for more non-overlapping channels which is essential for high-density areas, providing a significant increase in bandwidth for devices.
37. Company Acquisitions are a Necessary Evil in Enterprise Tech
Q: Are acquisitions a necessary evil?
Opinions are divided; some panelists believe they drive innovation and are necessary for the industry, while others argue that organic growth is better and that acquisitions can often lead to negative outcomes.
Cloud Repatriation is Really Happening
Q: What is the argument for and against cloud repatriation?
The arguments hinge on cost-effectiveness and infrastructure capabilities on-premises versus the agility and scalability advantages offered by cloud services.
Hardware Can’t Keep Up With Software
Q: Do you think hardware is going to get too fast for software?
I think that, well, again, we're back to if developers could only write good code and could spend as much time thinking about what would happen if that failed.
