  • Phlegm and Swallowing

I am a regular. The content is good. I listen to almost every show. However, there have been times when I just could not listen to the whole show because the constant sounds of sniffing and swallowing and congestive sticky phlegm in my ears was so distracting and viscerally repulsive that I just couldn’t get past it. Please, I’m begging you, find a solution or strategy for this. I want to hear your perspective on the industry, but may own visceral response to these distracting noises is making i... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Cerebras is disrupting the market with Fast Inference
Q: Why do you see the future as involving both cloud APIs and on-prem deployments, and will one dominate?
Both delivery models will continue to exist because different customers have different needs: developers favor cloud APIs for speed and ease, while enterprises and sovereign initiatives require on-prem installations for data security and control. Cerebras expects to continue offering both to serve a broader range of customers.
Cerebras is disrupting the market with Fast Inference
Q: How do you describe your product strategy around fast inference versus training, and why focus on inference speed?
Inference speed is the primary value proposition today because customers are building real-time AI applications (coding agents, reasoning, chat) that require instant responses. Training remains important, but the market's immediate demand is for rapid inference; the same wafer-scale engine can support both, with different problem framing, and the company continues to optimize for both while prioritizing inference speed for faster real-world outcomes.
Cerebras is disrupting the market with Fast Inference
Q: What changed in the market over the last 9-12 months that made an IPO more feasible now?
The market has evolved with landmark partnerships and a clearer demand signal for fast inference, especially with large-scale environments like AWS and OpenAI, which validated the market and readiness for a public company. This resolved market expectations around speed and scale, helping to position Cerebras as a credible public-ready AI compute leader.
Enabling AI Governance for M365
Q: What are the practical steps organizations should take now to begin embedding governance with AI adoption?
Start with a continual governance mindset, use a visibility-first approach to find sensitive data and oversharing, implement quick fixes to remediations, and build prevention through safer defaults and ongoing education; consider using a governance checklist and demos to understand tooling and gaps.
Enabling AI Governance for M365
Q: Generative AI, how has it changed the definition of governance inside Microsoft 365?
Governance has shifted to ensure AI confidence, speed, and scale; it's no longer a tax on IT but a framework that exposes and manages data access, content lifecycle, and ownership so AI can operate safely and effectively.
