  • Great help!

Really enjoyed the top ten interviewer and seeing a little more of the personal side of Dave. How about adding quarterly and yearly top tens.

Please do more of the CyberWire-X episodes. It is good to hear about an exploit, but it is great for us cyber professional to get all the details, so we can understand if we could prevent the exploit. Thanks,

  • 30 Minute Advertisement

There’s an add then about 5 minutes of content where the host reads headlines without really talking about the story. And then a sponsored interview that takes up most of the episode and some more adds.

No value to the listener. Just a lot of being advertised to.

  • Great Content

I like the content (and the music mixing) but the host has one of the most AI-generated-sounding voices and enunciation that I have ever heard. It’s not unpleasant, though.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A checkmark for trust, a payload for theft.
Q: How are organizations prioritizing their defenses against these sorts of things?
Organizations are prioritizing actions by focusing on edge protection, attack surface visibility, and uniform risk communication to leadership, with emphasis on mitigating DDoS and API-related threats, while balancing cost and risk appetite.
Securing satellites already in space, with journalist Shaun Waterman. [T-Minus: Space-Cyber Briefing]
Q: Would you mind walking me through a little bit about how you put this article together and what your pitch was for creating this?
Waterman explains that the piece was a continuation of earlier work stemming from Hackersat and the CyberSAT conference, illustrating a progression from on-ground cyber defense concepts to on-orbit detection and response, and highlighting open-source projects and collaborations with DHS and the Aerospace Corporation.
The court calls Google’s bluff.
Q: What does the Munich ruling imply for how we treat AI-generated content from search tools?
It signals a shift toward treating AI-generated overviews as potentially actionable statements, placing responsibility on the operator (like Google) for outputs that are not merely links but new summaries that may mislead, which accelerates the need for improved governance and safety controls.
The bugs are piling up faster than the fixes.
Q: What is Flo Health's core philosophy on privacy?
Privacy and security are the product; every level of the organization embeds privacy-by-design, with certifications and an integrated privacy management system to empower users to control their data.
The skills pay the bills. [Research Saturday]
Q: As I was reading through the research, there was a statement here that caught my eye. You describe skills as the new phishing attachment. What does that shift mean for how organizations should be thinking about user risk?
The attack surface is rapidly shifting toward AI, and organizations should rethink user risk by accounting for AI-enabled skills as potential vectors, requiring vetting and monitoring of AI tool downloads and skill repositories.
