  • Used to be a good show

I listened to this daily but can’t take it anymore. Why the producers thought hiring outside the tech industry for the hosts beats me. They may have a voice for the nightly news but not for tech podcasts.

  • Great daily recap

The daily security news is great. Some of the hosts need to work on their awkward/incorrect pronunciations of words, acronyms and initialisms however. Hearing them read incorrectly gets grating over time.

Q: What has been your priority this past week regarding security strategy?
Rich asks guests about immediate focus areas; Davi emphasizes preparedness around real risks versus mythos in AI, while Chris mentions chasing down wild ideas and testing practical implementations.
The Department of Know: CISA's quick patch, Miasma attacks, judge finds AI guilty
Q: What's the risk of AI hallucinations in security workflows?

The Department of Know: CISA's quick patch, Miasma attacks, judge finds AI guilty
Q: How does GitHub's npm change affect software supply chain risk?
It raises the cost for attackers by requiring explicit consent for code execution, pushing developers to adopt a more explicit trust model and encouraging broader adoption of verifiable, signed components.
The Department of Know: CISA's quick patch, Miasma attacks, judge finds AI guilty
Q: What does the new 3-day patching window mean for organizations with complex environments?
It shifts focus from blindly patching to validating exposure and prioritizing patches based on a mature understanding of assets and attack surfaces, with automation helping reduce delay but not replacing the need for visibility.
The Department of Know: NVD audit, Meta's leaky AI, Microsoft is closer to quantum
Q: How do you see the role of guardian agents changing the security landscape in the next few years?
Guardian agents will shift left into SDLC, enabling detection and automated remediation through orchestrated AI agents, reducing outages and requiring governance to keep actions transparent and controllable.
