Alex should absolutely talk to the current US regime when offered but I just couldn’t bear to listen to it. I’m here for entertainment and easy listening- especially Ranjan. Still 5 stars.
At the beginning of each show Alex always says they will be discussing tech in a cool-headed, nuanced way, and I think he does a great at sticking to that. Other podcasts in this category can sometimes get overly heated or goofy. I like the episodes with Ranjan Roy. I find the interview episodes to be absolutely worthless and deferential, especially with the recent DoD episode and past interviews with Google execs for example. The natural skeptical tone completely flips to veiled sycophancy.
While many tech podcasts are either pro Silicon Valley or simply hate the big tech CEOs, Alex is very unbiased and willing to change his opinions based on new evidence.
Fridays with Ranjan is my favourite podcast of the week
