I started listening about a month ago when I had to cancel my Scotland trip. The places and stories that they talk about is so wonderful! It makes me feel like I’m there wandering about the ruins and castles! The chatter is so adorable. These two make me feel like I’m there with them enjoying a dram or a tea with them. My only complaint is that I wish I’d have found them sooner!!
I’m going to miss you guys so bad!! I’m almost in tears just listening to the last episode. Good luck to you both!! ... more
I have listened from day one basically and I have loved the stories, the histories, the spooks and all of the banter between Eilidh and Kieran. I do understand it’s a lot of work, but we have appreciated it immensely! Y’all are the best. From Morganton, North Carolina with love!
Wife-and-husband Highlanders Eilidh and Kieran tell deeply involving stories of Scottish history and places with healthy doses of ghost stories and the personalities that make history come alive, along with engaging folklore from time to time. We discovered this pod through the onboard entertainment on a British Airways flight. You’ll cringe, you’ll laugh out loud, you’ll want to reach for a cup of tea or something stronger.
Absolutely love this podcast - it gives an insight into Scottish history via a lot of weird and wonderfully spooky stories. The presenters have a lively, gentle humour which is needed with all the macabre history that unfolds! I love that Eilidh really spends a lot of time on the research, weighing up different sources and giving airspace to a lot of theories and possibilities around each subject. Thankyou for helping me learn more about my adopted homeland!
I love the story telling and sense of humor of these two people. I would like to meet them one day.
