While he shared a name with our first Prime Minister, the first premier of Ontario was not related to him. Sandfield Macdonald's time as Ontario's premier was short, but his influence on the formation of Canada was immense.

Amazing information source for Canadian political history.
Cant enough good things, would love to see an instalment about bible bill abergart
I have been listening to Craig Baird’s from John to Justin and I started from the first episode and am now through to Louis St Laurent. Craig is doing an excellent job of reviewing these people and times in which they live. It has been very interesting hearing about the challenges Canada faced and how our PMs handled them. A great Canadian history podcast.
As a New Zealander with Canadian grandchildren, I have attempted to learn about Canadian History and politics. This podcast is a very good way to learn about both at the same time. Craig clearly loves his subject and it shows. He has a very pleasant delivery (almost quintessentially Canadian!) and presents each politician fairly. I have almost completed the PrimeMinisters and am looking forward to the opposition leaders and provincial premiers. I may skip the elections!
Just heard this host’s collaboration with Presidencies of the United States and he is very excellent at providing just enough details for people interested in Canadian history to want to find out more on their own!
